There are 5 basic classes of SCOOTERS:

  • Portable (Portable scooters are typcially in a compact, lightweight design that easily disassemble for transport while remaining highly affordable, Some of the great choices include GoGoelite and Shoprider QT3)
  • Light Duty (This type best suits clients weighing up to 100kg ,requiring good climbing ability and speeds of up to 8km/h, eg.Pathrider10, Shoprider888)
  • Medium Duty (This type best suits clients weighing up to 130kg ,requiring good climbing ability and speeds of up to 10 km/h, eg.Pride Celebrity Deluxe, Shoprider889ES)
  • Heavy Duty (This type best suits clients weighing up to 160kg ,requiring good climbing ability and speeds of up to 12km/h, eg.Pride DXL, Rocky6)
  • Bariatric (may be covered by Heavy Duty type, somehow requires minor modification, eg.replacement of large seat or large capacity batteries)
